Choredition — mouvement,
perception and language
With Baptiste Andrien

Images issues de la conversation continue entre Franck Beaubois et Baptiste Andrien.
This exploratory practice is guided
by the question: How do we compose the dialogue between our inner and outer environments?
May 16 & 17,
Brussels
Through physical explorations in movement, sound scores, and writing frameworks, we will probe the relationships between body and words—“the body’s words” and “the words’ body.”
This exploratory practice is guided by the question: How do we compose the dialogue between our inner and outer environments?
We will revisit everyday activities—such as moving through space, emitting sounds, listening, reading, speaking, writing…—and observe how our senses organize in real time to make meaning.
From perception to communication, we will play with the (re)construction of a singular language (a dance, a text…). Each participant will have the opportunity to cultivate their own research and explore different forms of idiosyncratic “publication”—translations of their unique relationship to the world.
Open to all, this workshop offers collective frameworks to honor the resources generated by each person’s experience.
Baptiste Andrien
Trained in architecture, Baptiste Andrien explores the connections between perception and action, particularly on aesthetic and energetic levels. Within the publishing house Contredanse, he has spent 20 years highlighting the knowledge of those who “make” dance. He leads workshops on attuning to the “invisible,” as well as workshops dedicated to the editorial processes at work in the body and in the creation of artifacts.
